Video

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association created its Global Dental Guidelines because of the lack of knowledge in veterinary dentistry, explains these 2 veterinarians.

The World Small Animal Veterinary Association created its Global Dental Guidelines because of the lack of knowledge in veterinary dentistry, explains Brook A. Niemiec, DVM, DAVDC, DEVDC, FAVD, chief of staff at Southern California Veterinary Dental Specialties & Oral Surgery in San Diego. This problem stems mainly from a lack of dental education in veterinary schools, he adds.
