Her number one tip for performing dental extractions on patients is to be patient. If you're trying to rush through a dental extraction, you're going to have more problems afterwards and it will take longer to complete. To properly extract teeth in your veterinary patient, you need to apply slow, steady, gentle, even, and long-lasting pressure. Animal teeth can withstand forceful and quick pulling motions, so they need to be approached in a slow and steady way.
