Bryan Torres, DVM, assistant professor of small animal orthopedic surgery and director of the Motion Analysis Laboratory at the University of Missouri, talks about the ways he uses some of the technology at the Motion Analysis Laboratory to objectively look at veterinary patients with osteoarthritis.

The equipment available can help veterinarians better understand how much weight the patient is bearing on each limb, how the patient's joints are moving, and differences in joint motion. Dr. Torres says the Motion Analysis Laboratory uses this equipment differently than most because they use the technology with both clinical and research patients.
