The University of Alaska (UA) has a veterinary college, which takes students through a 2-year program at the university, and then has them complete their clinical years at Colorado State University (CSU). Now, a PetSmart Charities $224,000 grant distributed over the course of the next 2 years will allow students from CSU and AU, as well as veterinarians and veterinary technicians throughout Alaska, to travel to remote areas and provide veterinary care to those who may not have access.
