Mark Howes, DVM, DACVR, radiologist at the Veterinary Specialty Center in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, says understanding the Big 5 organs sounds pretty easy, but it can be quite a challenge.
The Big 5 organs include the liver, gull bladder, spleen, kidneys, and urinary bladder. With someone who's learning ultrasound, Dr. Howes says they need to realize it's easy to find the liver, but it can be challenging to see it in its entirety.
