Kristen Cooley, BA, CVT, VTS (Anes/Analgesia), instructional specialist at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, talks about the most important information gleaned from an anesthesia machine.

You want to manipulate the machine to work in your favor, Cooley says, by understanding the time-constant. Doing so will allow you to turn your anesthesia machine into an intermittent dosing device.
