Alison Gottlieb, BS, CVT, VTS (ECC), ICU veterinary nurse and education coordinator for CARES (Center for Animal Referral and Emergency Services) in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, talks about some of the techniques she loves to use for fearful or aggressive cats.

She says her favorite thing in the world to use for these patients is Gabapentin. When you give a cat 100 mg of Gabapentin 2 hours before their visit, she says the results are life changing for everyone. Gottlieb also likes to use lots of towels and catnip.
